Instructions for switching on and off the KGPS intermediate frequency power supply

Jun 30, 2023

Abstract

Preparation Before Starting Start Up (Be sure to choose external control under normal circumstances)*First open the power circuit breaker in the intermediate frequency cabinet Shutdown (common for local and external control status)

Preparation Before Starting

  1. The position of the low-voltage power box is closed in sequence (1) the monitoring console (2) the pure water pump (3) the hydraulic station (4) the air switch of the main console
*Note that the low-voltage power box is generally installed on the wall of the control room
  2. (The position of the master console), press the pure water pump to work, there are two pumps in this device, one for use and one for standby, just start any one. Then adjust the adjustment valve at the water inlet pipe end of the capacitor so that the pressure gauge in the intermediate frequency cabinet is at 0.07-0.085Mpa
(No need to adjust again after starting again after adjustment)
  3. Turn on the external circulating water pump, and adjust the water pressure of the working furnace body through the cut-off valve at the water inlet end. The normal pressure is the gauge pressure of the furnace body 0.15--0.20Mpa
*Note that the return valve must be fully open at this time
  4. Select the working furnace position to be carried by the intermediate frequency cabinet at the position of the monitoring console, and then check whether the switch is in place at the switch of the furnace in the basement; whether the static contact is in good contact.
  5. When the furnace is cold, add iron at the position of one-third of the furnace cavity capacity to the furnace body to be worked.
(At this time, it should be noted that the frequency meter of the intermediate frequency cabinet cannot be lower than 330HZ after startup)
When starting the cold furnace, use 100--150KW to preheat for 30--40 minutes; the iron temperature is around 900°C before sending high power and adding the second charge; the charge should not exceed 1/2 of the furnace cavity capacity.

Start Up (Be sure to choose external control under normal circumstances)
*First open the power circuit breaker in the intermediate frequency cabinet

  1. At the position of the intermediate frequency power cabinet, ① turn right to close the switch, ② open the intermediate frequency power cabinet to select the working state of the machine or external control (that is, the master console)
  2. The machine ① Turn the control power knob to the right to open ② Press the closing button ③ Turn the potentiometer to the minimum ④ Turn the right-handed intermediate frequency to start ⑤ Slowly turn the power adjustment potentiometer to the required power
  3. External control ① Turn the control power knob to the right to open ② Press the closing button ③ At the position of the master console ③ Turn the potentiometer to the minimum to the minimum ④ Turn the right-handed intermediate frequency to start ⑤ Slowly turn the power adjustment potentiometer to the required power
Note: Try not to stay in the range of 620--720V when the DC voltage is running at high power. At this time, you should pay attention to the resonant sound of the reactor (the intermediate frequency cabinet has obvious sound changes)

Shutdown (common for local and external control status)

  1. At the position of the intermediate frequency cabinet or the main console ① turn the power adjustment potentiometer left to the minimum ② turn the intermediate frequency start to off ③ press the opening button ④ turn the power control knob to the left to off
  2. During continuous production (IF cabinet or master console position)
Shutdown ①Left-rotate power adjustment potentiometer to minimum ②Left-rotate intermediate frequency start to close
Power on ①Right turn the intermediate frequency start to open ②Slowly turn right the power adjustment potentiometer to the required power
