Basic parameters of induction furnace

In the hot metal processing industry, induction furnace has the characteristics of fast heating speed, uniform heating temperature, energy saving and environmental protection, which is very suitable for users. When selecting induction furnace, users need to know some parameters in advance. Luoyang Shennai will introduce the selection of induction furnace parameters.

1. Determine the material of the heated metal

Induction furnace is a metal heating equipment, which can be made of steel, iron, gold, silver, alloy copper, alloy aluminum, stainless steel and other metal materials. The heating process of various metal materials is different, so when determining the parameters of the induction furnace, the material of the heated metal needs to be determined first.

2. Determine the heating temperature of the heated metal material

For the induction furnace, the most important parameter is the heating temperature. The heating temperature is different for different heating purposes. The appropriate heating temperature should be selected according to the heating process requirements.

For example, the forging heating temperature is generally 1200 ℃, the heat treatment and tempering heating temperature is 450 ℃ - 1100 ℃, and the casting smelting heating temperature is about 1700 ℃.

3. Determine the size of the metal workpiece to be heated

The furnace heats metal workpieces, which is also closely related to the weight of metal workpieces. The weight of metal workpieces has a certain relationship with the heat absorbed by metal workpieces. It needs to be heated to different temperatures in a unit time. Workpieces with high temperature require high heating power of medium frequency induction furnace.

4. Determine the productivity of induction furnace

Among the parameters of induction furnace, the productivity is a parameter. We need to work out a reasonable production plan in advance to determine the annual, monthly or shift production quantity. The production quantity can help us determine the detailed production rate of the electric furnace.

5. Other parameters

When the induction furnace is used for forging heating, the parameters required to be provided include heating materials, workpiece dimensions, workpiece weight, heating temperature, heating efficiency, feeding method, temperature measurement method, cooling method, transformer capacity and phase number, floor area and site conditions.
